Photosinthesis is a picture revolution. It’s an all-out attempt to synthesize life through photographs. In pictures (the wise men on earth will bear this out) lies a perennial germ of reality. Photosynthesis attempts to put forth a body of photographic work, spanning the real and the conjured. Just as the spirit of life outgrows itself in varieties of its manifestations, photosynthesis will allow the photographic depictions to grow through grafts and experiments. The movement called photosynthesis is led by the burning genius of the duo—Aniruddha Mukherjee & Tarun Das both versatile in their creativity in several media.

Photosinthesis is a platform for the amateur and professional photographers, art mongers and socially responsible.

an extremely talented artist from the delhi school of art has a certificate in an exclusive course in portraiture. aniruddha's love of religious civilization was nurtured in the temple towns of india; his creative life was, in his words, "baked in the spiritual furnace that's aryan cradle". his eye looked as much for the splendid rivers and mountains as it scanned the features this milieu posted on the faces of people mainly the common rustic which mirror the country. he began using the olympus his parents had given him. he hiked, climbed, and explored. from year 2000 he committed himself to the creation of india's largest religio-cultural montage on camera. in addition to spending summers photographing river-sides, life about the hillside resorts, he also captured busy markets and melas, magnificent in the cultural details lost to modernity. in time the landscape style he had favored for many years, turned into human landscapes, the images of the latter had a powerful impact on aniruddha and helped him establish himself as one of the single largest spiritual-gypsy picture finder.

natural shyness and a certain intensity of genius, coupled with the dramatically challenged self-confidence, caused tarun problems fitting in at school. in later life he noted that he might have been diagnosed as hypersensitive. his creative energies and abilities as a photographer blossomed like a second lease of life following an advertising career. for tarun the camera is as much an archival instrument as it is of intuition and naturalness. to him the twinkling of an eye, the fleeting moment and an instance is visually frozen eternity. serendipity is tarun's forte in one word. he owes his craft much more to the subjects than his lens. highlighting is anathema to him; what matters is natural context in which human beings, engaged in commonplace acts, form an astonishing sense and scene. most of tarun's work is bearing witness from afar. his is a non-intrusive, unawares picture-finder rather than picture-taker. tarun's lens worships from afar.
